2011-2015

The Daily Illini is the award-winning student newspaper at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Since becoming a staff designer my freshman year, I served as a design editor my sophomore year, as a creative director my junior year and as a senior designer my senior year.

For me, working for a newspaper was one of the most rewarding and challenging experiences of college. Newsrooms are oftentimes high-stress and deadline-driven environments that demand excellent collaboration skills.

As the creative director, I managed all visual departments of the staff (design, photo, video, night and copy) to plan content packages and tell compelling visual stories.
